Utah resort deal: Enjoy breakfast, then hit the links

If you want to improve your slice this spring, check out this package from Midway, Utah, which offers a daily round of golf for two plus breakfast.

Deal: Homestead Resort’s “Breakfast and Golf Lodging Package” (click on “2010 Golf Packages” to display this listing) includes a garden-style room (a $99 to $159 value); breakfast at Fannys Grill ($24 value for two); and one round of golf per person per day (an $80 to $90 value). The deal is based on double occupancy and saves you about 30% off a la carte prices.

Nightly rates for the package start at $148 pretax for midweek and $168 on weekends. During summer, May 28 to  Sept. 30, the starting rates are higher: $178 midweek and $227 weekends. The breakfast at Fannys in the package includes an entree, a nonalcoholic drink and a tip.

Just 20 minutes from Provo, Utah, Homestead Resort is in the Wasatch Mountains. Among nearby attractions is Homestead Crater, a limestone cavern, where guests can swim, snorkel or scuba-dive. The resort also includes the Aveda Concept Spa, and there are spa-lodging packages for guests who prefer a rubdown to a hole in one.

Dates: Through Oct. 31.

Tested: When you search for availability, all possible packages for your dates appear, so you must scroll down to locate the “Breakfast and Golf Lodging” package. I tested the deals online and found great availability from April to October.  I called for a quote with tax for a two-night stay May 28-30 and was told it would be $463.34.

The reservation may be canceled without penalty up to seven days before arrival. Tee times may be booked up to 30 days in advance through the reservations phone line or on the resort’s website. Additional rounds, beyond those in the package, cost $40 (Monday to Thursday) or $45 (Friday to Sunday), including cart, said Sarah Pullman, Homesteads marketing director.

I recently came accross your site and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my very first remark. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this website very frequently.

The design for your website is a bit off in Epiphany. However I like your blog. I may have to install a “normal” browser just to enjoy it. :)

I’m going to coat-tail on what “Very Evolved” said… The way you connect to your audience is… Know who you are writing to. You need to pick a Target Audience and stick to them. You wouldn’t write to an audience of 14yr olds the same way you would write to an audience of 60yr olds.
