San Luis Obispo: Two-night lodge stay and breakfast in bed starts at $259

San Luis Obispo: Two-night lodge stay and breakfast in bed starts at $259

The San Luis Creek Lodge in San Luis Obispo, on California’s Central Coast, is a bed-and-breakfast with style – three, to be exact. Each of three lodges at the site reflects a distinct design inside and out: Londonderry, Plantation and Craftsman. In this deal, you can choose whatever style you like and get a free upgrade and more.

The deal: The two-night “Bed and Breakfast-in-Bed” package, which starts at $259 pretax midweek and $329 on weekends, gives you an upgraded room with a fireplace; breakfast in bed for two; and a bottle of wine. Be sure to ask for the deal by name.

When: The offer is good year-round. You can reserve this package only by calling the lodge, but the website lists details of the package and displays photographs of each of the lodges 25 rooms.

Tested: I was able to call and reserve the two-night package for a fireplace room at the $259 price for June 20-22 (Sunday-Monday nights), but it wasnt available most weekends in June. I recommend booking early if you want this deal for a specific weekend.

By comparison, in checking online published rates for the same dates, I found a fireplace room with breakfast (though not served in bed) starting at $169 pretax per night, or $338 for two nights -and that didn’t include the free bottle of wine. So the package savings are substantial.
