Built between 1815 and 1822 by architect John Nash, it was the summer home of Prince Regent, George IV. You will enjoy historic art and furniture, some of it lent by HM The Queen herself. Don’t miss the Palace tearoom that overlooks the gardens and the Palace Shop is a fun visit for a little shopping.

One of them is Kipling Gardens in Rottingdean. Rudyard Kipling lived at The Elms from 1897-1902 where you will find the Kipling Gardens. You can picnic in the garden and check out the herb garden and the croquet lawn.

There are 14,000 acres of countryside in and around Brighton. In fact, the area has been awarded National Park status in recognition of the natural beauty of the South Downs. There are walks and trails, bicycling, all sorts of plants and wildlife – a place of unequaled beauty to be enjoyed by visitors and locals alike.
