A look over the regions of Brazil.

The biggest country in South America, Brazil is known among nations by its paradise beaches, the carnival and the beautiful women. But in the past couple of years, it is also getting famous for its culture, festivals, history, forest and pantanal. The country is now in the 13° position on the world ranking of tourism and first in South America.

However, its not an easy job to choose where to go in Brazil. Because of its size, to go from North to South can take over six hours by plane and each state is totally different from the one beside.

South Region

Composed by three states, tourists can find the Iguacu Falls, between the border of Brazil and Argentina and its 80 meters high; they can also find the culture based on the German and Italian ancestors. Each of the three states have its traditional dish and festivals. During the summer, the most visited city is Florianopolis, because of its beautiful beaches; and during winter, Gramado is the destiny, because of its cold weather and snow.

Southeast Region

Consist of four states, which includes Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Minas Gerais and Espirito Santo. The must see region its manly from Portuguese origin, with the influence of some Italians and Japanese. Is the richest region and its where most of the country’s population lives. Rio is famous by its beaches, the Sugar Loaf and the Christ of the Redeemer. Sao Paulo is the biggest city, known by its huge buildings, like New York. Minas Gerais is the land of gold historical state, where old constructions can be found.

Jamaica is located just south of Cuba and is the third largest island in the Caribbean. Jamaicans are famous throughout the world for their kindness. This place is also well known for music, rum, coffee and its beautiful beaches. The main breaches of Jamaica specifically Negril, Ocho Rios and Montego Bay are acknowledged for their plain turquoise waters and striking beauty. Ocho Rios is well known for its blue mountains and yet another position you need to stopover. Different varieties of plants and animals exist in and around the area of Blue Mountains. A holiday in Brazil can be an impressive experience because this country has a lot of splendid views to see and there are a lot of things to do in the worlds fifth largest country. But, there are  some fixations that you should avoid of, and here are 5 things you should not do.

1. Do not drink water, try to drink less water

As it is one of developing states, the sanitary conditions of Brazil are not really ideal. You should drink only bottled water in order to not have any complications. Also, you have to ensure that bottle is closed and sealed; if all of these will be contrary you could have some negative consequences.   Its very important to avoid raw vegetables in there.

2. Do not wear clothes characteristic for tourist

Brazil is a state with high rates of crime than large cities in the United States or Europe. Many times, travelers are victims of crimes. There should be used general sense and additional prudence. You should get an idea of what Brazilian people wear in the places you desire to visit and try to integrate.  Also, avoid expensive clothes and jewelry if you dont want to have any troubles.

3. Do not go without getting some information about climate and holiday planSeasons are the opposite times of year as those in the United States.  December 22 to March 21 is summer time, but June 22 to September 21 is winter period. Brazil is a large country and temperatures vary widely, in particular for the period of winter. Also, you should know the holiday schedule, because there are few Brazilian holidays related to historical events and it can be a waste of time when most of things are closed.
